So do you mean the main area or the logo? I was wondering if the main area is coming painted or not. The product in the photo looks painted.

The main area. The logo is just red. I like the pop of color on the front end.

Yea, I have been in since I thought the 2nd Gen would fit, before I knew any better. :annoyed:
I have bugging the shit out of the OP since then LOL. But I only bug people for the things that are worth it

I am definitely transferring my Devil Horns on Fire to the grill. Either in the lower right hand corner, twisted to a little to fit, or in the center, using spacers if I have to, to make it work since that area is narrower than the emblem is tall.

I’m going to search all my posts in effort to find one predating 2017. I asked him when i first saw his grill!!! I will find it and claim my rightful spot on the list!!!

@Cooktop86 is bigger than I am, he can have it. Mainly just because it is paint matched to his truck already.

I appreciate all of the interest guys. Once I confirm the design is viable on Jeff’s truck I’ll work out the pricing and update the OP of this thread.

I was honestly concerned about the color match on this due to the design of the grill insert however my paint guys did a fantastic job.

More to come. Jeff & I will be getting together in the next few days to install it and we’ll go from there.

Funny. I am really not sure when I discovered them but I am sure it was close to when I first joined. I was so naive 16k posts ago. I am definitely willing to get on a list. I mean Fawk! This has already been 2 years or more in the making for me so I can wait longer. And I want mine all black, bare plastic, and the mesh can be bare too, nothing color matched.

The problem with bare plastic is that in order to modify the surround to accommodate the mesh I’ve got to do a LOT of cutting. This leaves visible unfinished areas on the grill. Hence why I went with a color matched version for Jeff.
Black is certainly possible for the surround but it would still need to go to paint. As for the mesh, you would not want bare aluminum. The mesh I use is much more corrosion resistant than steel but would still oxidize over time. If you wanted a bare aluminum look I could have them powder-coated clear.

On the prototype I recessed the mesh in the center section. Since you want to use the devil horn emblem, for your build I could attach that part flush to the front which would make it easier to attach in the center of the grill.

    Just a few thoughts... :)

Thanks for the great explanation Craig! I was just thinking from a cost standpoint that if everything were ready to paint, then I could Plastidip it all myself. I know that a lot of people don't like it but when I did my cheese grater I impressed even myself. It was my first time doing it too. Touch ups from trail damage and road debris would be easier to repair too. I'm not opposed to powder coat or the cost associated on the mesh though. I know that is more durable than plastidip.

Naaaa, I think the grill looks great as is and the mesh should all be the same depth. I don't have an issue with spacers. It will likely overlap the plastic part enough to just attach it there. Use larger washers behind the plastic to help make it more stable.

I'm taking my horns off this weekend to remove the anodize that is fading from the salt here. Sending them back to Andres and he is having them redone for me. They are gonna look so good on an all blacked out grill.
