I got a 2010 double can with 245 stock steel wheels. I notice when I start the car the TPMS light starts flashing for about a few seconds then stays on. What does this mean? I put air then the next morning it came back on but I didn't fill up the spare tire. Help please thanks

    Anyone seen my wallet?
Does the spare have a metal rigid valve stem or a rubber one?

A flashing TPMS light that turns on solid after a minute or so indicates a system problem, that is, a dead sensor.

Installed Overhead Compass and Temperature Display along with outside temperature sensor and wiring; LED lights reverse backup; LED license plate lights; Added GTA Bluetooth Audio kit to stock radio for iphone audio; Spare tire steel braided air hose extension connection to rear bumper; Installed new headlights along with new bulbs PIAA H4 XTreme and for fog lights PIAA H10 XTreme bulbs. Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.
    TPMS light flashing......could be?.....maybe?.....possibly?.....what if?.......try this?......etc., etc., etc.

Look up and read about TPMS in your Owners Manual, that is your "best source of info" pertaining specifically for this, on your problem.

    Believe me it's in there.

I too had the same problem with my light. I could not get the sensors to reset after putting air in the tires. I ignored the warning light but noticed my truck was having trouble starting...like a bad 12volt battery. Took truck in to get battery analyzed found I had a bad cell and the starting amps were way low. Purchased a new battery for the truck and like a miracle, the TPMS light went out! I wonder ...
