tpms help

    hello TW I need some help, my friend is going to be installing a lift and wheels/tires on my 2009 4 cylinder 4x4 access cab tacoma at the dealership he works at. my question for you is will my tpms switch over from my stock wheel? or will he need anything to switch them over?

    5100's all on fours
    Steelie TPMS are different than alloy TPMS sensors, but you can turn the sensors 180° so they will fit.

    will he need anything to do that? or should it be fine? also r they a need, what would happen if i just dident use them?

    They just unbolt from the rim. Look at the valve stem and you will see a nut at the bottom against the rim. That is what holds them on. If you don't use them, your TPMS light will illuminate.

    allright so he needs to unbolt it at the valve stem and then like u said just flip it 180?? and he wont need anything to do this? no bands or anything? also where are u stationed? mos?

    He will only need to flip them if you are going from steel to alloy rims or vice versa. This what they look like:
