    Nah, I'd still want a good balance, even on the spare.

    You can get a good balance, just might be heavy on the weights. Balanced is balanced.

    I like the idea of the permanent mount in the spare rim if it works and it allows someone to dismount the tire without damage to the sensors- I agree I want a balanced spare, but for how much you may use the spare, its really not an issue if it takes extra weights to balance. This seems to be the best long term option I have seen for those who are adjusting their tire pressures often and hate dealing with the light always coming on... like to hear more from those who have done it...
