Hey folks maybe someone has experienced this so I will ask. I just returned from a long road trip yesterday and this morning I noticed my 2017 OR TRAC OFF light was on and the engine check light is on as well. Any ideas as to what could be the problem

This is a common warning light thing that can be lots of different things. Get a code reader to find the errors. I had the same lights go on when rats chewed my wires.

Did you gas up after your long trip? Check the gas cap and see if it is not clicked. You will have to drive it for awhile or reset with a code reader to see if the gas cap was the culprit.

Thanks a lot folks I will try this. I did gas up half way through my trip so i will check my gas cap. I disconnected and reconnected the battery earlier today and both lights went out but came back on 20 minutes later

That's because you have an issue. Scan the codes, focus on the trouble area, and fix.
