Traction bars? Snubbers? Ladder bars? Etc.

Does anybody use them on the Tacoma?

I'm driving my 2wd 99.9% on the street, and I'm really happy about the performance except for all the wheel hop and axle wrap under acceleration.

It's not too bad with just me in the cab, but add 3 other guys, and the amount of wind-up and hop is insane.

I'm ready to do something, but I don't want to make the ride too stiff.

traction bars with no lift? not sure if that makes sense.

I'm running a custom one that doubles as a driveshaft skidplate.

I followed the "Traction Bar Mod" listed in TW, used the Superior Leaf Spring helpers as per the mod. I am very happy with the results. Stiffer ride, much reduced axle wrap. I strongly suggest this simple, quick and CHEAP fix.

They are $30 (post paid) through Amazon. Check them out!

The Bud Built trac bars will not affect the stiffness of the ride, and will eliminate any axel wrap. I belive they are a bolt on application, as well as weld on. They work very good.

Anybody have any pics of the budbuilt bars installed on their Tacoma? When I'm offroading and the tires spin, even spining slow at about 5mph it hops up and down like a mofo, to the point that it feels like it wants to snap/break something in a big way.

I was thinking of getting rid of the block and getting the ICON 1.5" leaf pack but it's suppose to soften up the factory ride and from what I hear soft springs make hop worse.

maybe get the ICON leaf pack to soften up my ride and get the bars. Good idea??

If these things are available in a 100% bolt on system, think I'm going to have to give them a try.
