    This may help explain. https://www.communitytoyota.com/when-to-use-toyota-vsc-off/

You may have to hold it down longer than 3-5 seconds but I am not sure of the sport trim.

I turned it off yesterday while in a snow bank and used the LSD feature in 2WD and pulled me right out with little effort. Didn’t need 4x4 until later on.

I’d never drive with it off in sketchy conditions. Helps keep the trucks rear end planted nicely. Saved me a few times from tailspin.

Short answer: No and I'll give my best shot at an explanation because it took me forever to sort it all out.

VSC is Vehicle Stability Control. Only keeps your truck pointed in the right direction during road speeds (above like 30mph IIRC) and turns on automatically if you hit that threshold. I think lol.

TRAC has a couple different functions for us 2015 2.75 gens. When you start your truck, it has TRAC on. In 2WD , you can short press the car with the squiggles to turn the engine power regulation off but keep the Auto LSD function that limits wheel spin with the ABS system. I do this regularly on fire roads and trails. In the snow, I leave it on. When you are in this mode, your dash should say "AUTO LSD." Long press of that button turns everything off and you have a slidy little roller skate to drive.

That is only true in 2WD though. A quick press in 4HI will produce TRAC OFF which is supposedly a stronger simulated LSD and no engine regulation. 4LO turns all of it off unless you do the yellow wire mod. Again, I think.

2015s seem to be a bit different which is why I called them a 2.75 gen.

Put in neutral and hold that switch down for like 5 seconds until "Trac off" displays on the dash
