I've read the ABS mod, is it difficult? I have no knowledge of wiring and the such.

Nope, super easy man. I had no knowledge of wiring before those two mods. Your basicslly just grounding a wire and adding a toggle switch.

    completely stock
I found the best way to play is to pop the hood and unplug the wheel sensor on the driver side frame rail. all abs, all traction control is dead... when you want it back just plug in the sensor, drive 100yrds and the system resets...

ok so here's my questions on the ABS mod:

    1. when the switch is on it turns on the VSC off light. Does that mean VSC is off?
    2. Is TRAC still working?
    3. Does the locker actually engage?
    4. does this work on 2012s?

    thanks for the info guys.

OK so let's say I'm offroading in 4H. If I want to kill the ABS, then I can't have TRAC on too, correct? so if I kill ABS in 4H I am straight 4 wheel drive without any traction of any sort.

In 4L atrac won't work either with the ABS kill switch on? But doesnt matter with the locker because it will kill it anyway...

You can't turn off ABS without doing an ABS bypass mod

    Correct on the first one.

Second one.. I'm not 100% but Im pretty sure it wont work.

Here's what I do.. when i want to have fun.. and dont require 4wd, i turn the killswitch on which turns it all off.. (open diff).. or.. if I want more fun and traction.. I turn the killswitch off which turns it all on. i lock the rear in 2hi.. which turns it all off anyways..
If I need 4wd, I turn the killswitch off.. then lock the rear and have locked 4wd (true 3wd drive).. then atrac if I need It.

moose, when you say 2hi locker on, thats cause you did the locker mod?

Sorry if I'm asking dumb questions, this traction stuff get confusing even after I read all the posts and material. I have ADD so I suck at organization in my head.

    Ask and thou shall receive..

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/143882-locker-anytime-mod-help.html

I used both that thread.. and the original mod thread that's linked in the first post. Between those two, you have all the info.

Make sure to use the right relay from radioshack. I grabbed the wrong one and spent two days tryin to figure out what went wrong. Pm me if you need any help.
