That looks like the Kawasaki motor we have in a Deere 445. I didn't know Cub also ran those. Good thing hoses are on your list, I see a pretty good crack in one on your third pic.

That one near the exhaust always gets toasted, might want to wrap the exhaust pipe a bit with some fiberglass header wrap to keep temps away from the rubber.

Yeah Cub did it for 2 years. The 3205 and 3208. Pretty sure it's the same FD620D as in the JDs minus the plastic cam gear. I was gonna wrap the new hose with something. I may have some header wrap. Thanks for the idea.

People sell these GTs because the plastic pedal bushings wear out and the tractor crawls. They think the hydro is bad. Mine would barely move in reverse and fwd was <2mph. After the bronze bushings I opened Google maps with the speedometer on screen and hit 9mph in the driveway. Reverse feels like 7mph but no way am I going that fast for long enough to be looking at a phone to check it lol.

I was driving it at 9mph as it sits in the pic. No body and a board to sit on. Told my wife that's redneck AF. :D Shoulda made a video.

So my Wife wanted shredded leaves for the garden...

I try to work a new tractor into any Project that my Wife comes up with :D

This popped up on my FB Marketplace feed the other morning. It was in my trailer 25 minutes later.

Bolens G10 bought new by the sellers Great Uncle in 1976. The Trac Vac was purchased in 1989. It came with a mower deck and tiller as well.

He gave me all of the original brochures, receipts, manuals, service records, etc.

I thought it was a pretty neat find. And more importantly, I can actually use it around here.

I did a full service on the tractor, mower, and Trac Vac. Everything works great. No smoke, no leaks, runs and works fantastic. I’ll probably sell the tiller. I already have a nice one on my 1254.

That is an awesome find! I can't believe the Trac-Vac cost that much in 1989 though, WOW!

I know, I did a double take myself. Sometimes I like the old paperwork and history as much as I like the tractors.

I also like that the tractor was purchased in May, and the Trac Vac in September. Obviously getting ready for their respective seasons.

I also noticed the check was written for an even $1775.00 and they got change back, why?

That was how you got "cash back" before the debit card/grocery store method? Seems like an odd amount though...

It’s at my property 18 miles away. I’ll take a few pics of it the next time I go up there. Planning on planting food plots next week.

As a follow up to my last post about some friction disc fragments in my tractor's filter screen, we were guessing brakes or clutch

Well, I'm having issues when going into first gear now, but all of the other gears are fine. So yep, the fragments were from the clutch :(

Brush hogging and got a little too close to the creek. The mower was hung up on the bank behind me so I couldn’t even walk it out with the bucket. Low, low locked and wouldn’t budge. Practiced a little solo recovery, think maybe I should have gone for the 10k winch but it worked! Thanks to @1776Taco for sharing this oil deal. I went to 3 different advance auto stores yesterday and wound up with 39 quarts for $2.45 a quart.

Man I was real particular building my last brushpile. Cut real neat with almost no straggler pieces hanging out, stacked real high like a haystack and smashed down with the loader.

It paid off. I set it off in the morning and only needed one rake of a few limb ends back in when it was hot. I spent all of 5mins tending to it.

I cleaned the 3205 up on friday-my only day off till Tue. It's gonna need the rear diff torn down to replace the axle shaft seals. Dumb design by MTD. Has 6 pillow block axle seals along the axles in the multi piece aluminum differential. Cleaned up nice though.
