    I'm another one of those folks who went from a Mazda3 to a Tacoma. Had an '06 3S MT. Incredibly awesome car and if I had the money, I would have kept it and gotten the Tacoma as well. Alas that life did now allow for it.

    I must say that the average gas mileage for the 3 was significantly better. I had a lifetime average of about 31.5mpg. That's driving it from 30,512 miles to 76,458 miles.

    I'm hoping to get and keep my Tacoma above 20mpg. :D
