The latest revision as of 11/15 that has most owners reporting drastic improvements to drivability and gear hunting?

Here she was at pickup. Dark now, but can get day time live shot tomorrow if requested. Mine is bone stock. Only roof rack and side steps have been added.

I test drove one. It has great power, tons of room. But for me it was just too big. Obviously not in the same class... and if I was between the Tundra and Titan XD I would go Titan XD. I had an '04 Titan and then a '07 Tundra Limited and liked both trucks. I really enjoy the smaller taco for my needs now, but I do miss the POWER from the V8's. If you want a full size truck you wont be disappointed. Good luck.

How about the diesel tundra that is coming out early next year? Suprised no one has posted about that yet. I would wait to buy that instead of a titan.

I'm pretty sure that's speculation toyota has yet to make an official announcement. I highly doubt we see one.

My concerns with the XD diesel are as follows. I do love the interior and the equipment included in the trim levels has a definite bang for the buck. Be sure to quote out insurance costs as well. In my area, Nissans run more than other brands premium wise. Not 100% sure why.

1st the trans is the same 6 speed Aisen that some Rams are using. There are so many complaints about Ram transmission failing over the years that its basically a legendary meme on how crappy they are.

2nd. MPG's are terrible. The XD diesel 4x4 is seeing @ 14.7mpg real world, plus only a 26 gallon tank.

3rd. The Titan XD drinks dpf fluid almost as bad as it drinks fuel. Owners are seeing it as bad as 1 gallon per thousand miles. That and the fact its about smaller than other diesels at 4 gallons means you need to keep urea in the cab or at least fill up more otherwise the computer limits your speed until it is refilled.

4th. Maint costs. Yes we all know diesels cost more, blah, blah. But seriously, change coolant every 45K miles, brake fluid and automatic transmission fluid every 20K. Seriously, every 20kmiles replace transmission fluid/filter (read comment 1 about the laughing stock of transmissions) and brake fluid. wow. At least there are not spark plugs to change :)

Tundra has a better chance of getting discontinued than a diesel.

When did you have the transmission update performed? They released and updated version within the past couple of weeks that you may want to try

Love my 2013 F-150 with the 5.0. Feels like unlimited power in it. I have a 2016 DCSB TRD OR with the auto trans as well and haven't started it in over a month. I refuse to drive it. Between the shit transmission and uncomfortable seats I just won't do it. Once the front bumper is done it'll be sold. I've been curious about the Titan as well. Around here they're $50k+ which is nuts because in two years it'll be worth $23k...

Funny, seats have always been an issue. Could have bought the 6MT. Problem solved.

I drove the 6AT and found it to be fine. Just auto isn't my thing.

Agreed but I bought the auto because I knew I wasn't keeping it and it's an easier sell. Anyone can drive auto. If I bought it to keep it it would've been a MT.

In most dealership service rankings. GM is typically towards the top. They are doing everything they can to fix thier reputation.

I say that because you said is was terrible.

You probably wont like Nissian. They are usually towards the bottom with dodge.
