Next year ( 2014 ) I'm planning to take a month long or more vacation out west.
One of my first stops will be near Vegas , as I'm going to "Front Sight " for some shooting school polishing up . That will last a week.
I'm coming all the way from Pa
After Front Sight I plan on taking the llooonnnggg way home , and doing some off road sight seeing and camping , to get my soul back.
After looking and looking and searching and looking ... I don't know what to do ?
I do know that I don't want to Wreck my new 2013 Tacoma access cab., and I will be alone (so far) .... I will look or even wait for others to tag along with on un-familiar trails ... Safety sake
I really like the photos of the passes in Co , but I'm not sure if I'm capable yet as to my truck .... I have done off road with a Jeep in the 80's , ATVed awhile , road Harley's for many years etc. , I'm an adventurest with caution ! I'm not hooked on Co. , I just use it as an example , I love those old mining and ghost towns , and just beautiful scenery , Meadows are cool too
    My rig is as follows
    2013 TRD Sport
    2 1/2 " level on front
    33" tires
    Brute Force front plate bumper
Super winch 9500 plus all the straps blocks needed
    Rocky Road Super Sliders
    Pro Comp Rear Differential shield
    Pro Comp transfer case shield
    Shovel , high lift Extreme
    Tupai RTT Kukenam extreme
    CB radio
Garmin Hand held GPS map 62s
    5 gallon plus water jug

And that's it for now ..... So .... How bout lending a helping hand with all that said on where to go ?

When answering Please Remember that I don't know the area ... At All !
    I'm heading in Blind

Not sure about the start date .... August , September ?

Sure would be nice to hook up with other Tacoma People. : )

Its not Colorado, but its doable on your way home from Vegas. Doable in a stock truck. August might be a little hot, but September or October would probably be nice:

    Just throwing out another alternative...

Enjoy Front Sight. I'll be doing a 2 day handgun skill builder myself in Feb. In my opinion late spring is the best out west, everything is still green and all the water is still running. So, if you decide to come out earlier, we have this trip planned for June.

    Some stuff here and there....
You could come thru az. There is a pretty big group of us here that enjoy ghost towns, mine exploration, wheeling to said mines and towns, camping, and of course shooting as well. Just a thought.

Get rock sliders. Cab damage is expensive and quite often impossible to fix without replacing the cab.
