After selling my 2014 Tacoma DCSB and briefly driving something else I had to get another one. I purchased a 2015 DCLB TRD Sport bone stock. The goal for the truck is to be used for overlanding rather than climb rock walls.

    Suspension:
-Icon Extended travel w/ external reservoir coilovers with King 700# springs
    -Total Chaos UCAs
    -For 2.0 w/ external reservoir
-Dakar leaf pack + extra leaf
-Wheelers U bolt flip kit with Timbren bump stops
    -Wheelers front super bumps
-Archive garage towers (waiting on install)
    -Archive garage hammer hangers
-Alcan custom 10 leaf pack (waiting on install)
-Custom built Radflo 14" 2.5 rear shocks with compression adjuster and remote reservoir (waiting on install)

    Drivetrain:
    -Nitro 4.88 front and rear
    -ARB rear locker

    Chassis/Brakes:
-Low Range Off-road extended ss rear + front brake lines
    -Rear diff breather mod
    -Total Chaos bed stiffeners

    Armor:
-All pro rock sliders with kickout
-SOS Concepts steel front, mid, transfer case skids
-SOS Concepts standard rear bumper and swing out
    -Pelfreybilt front aluminum bumper
    -CBI aluminum bed rack
    -BAMF diff skid

    Wheels/Tires:
    -SCS Stealth 17" in bronze
    -Cooper S/T MAXX 315/70/17 (35s)

    Camping crap:
-Custom pressurized on board water system with 13 gal Frontrunner water tank
    -CVT rtt
    -Bed slide

    Pictures!

Thanks! That was yesterday before I went wheeling in the snow.

Looking forward to seeing your build progress!

No snow here in Florida. I found out today that i have the dreaded driver CV needle bearing issue and i developed a weeping fluid leak. I'll hit up the dealer first for some warranty work or call ECGS for their hybrid bushing.

I had my needle bearing done too. Eventually did gears and air lockers from ECGS. The ARB locker replaces the needle bearing so I don't have that issue anymore.

But I did have the bearing issue and dealer took care of me.

I'm not sure how long a replacement needle bearing will last. But at the same time, if Toyota will replace it, why not

So long as you're under warranty still anyhow. Some say the replacements aren't any better. Same flaw. The dealer who did mine told me the old bearing and new bearing were the same except for a very small difference in size.

Did they give you any problems because of your lift?

    Update:

Ordered the ECGS bushing for my drivers side CV axle/front diff. I've developed a weeping gear oil leak and my axle now has a good amount of play compared to the passenger side.

The truck is still under warranty, however, I feel like a new needle bearing replacement is only going to bandage the problem. At least maybe I'll get a new free axle under warranty work!

The ECGS bushing solved all humming issues. And I got a new driver side axle on Toyota's dime under warranty.

Since then I replaced the front brakes with blank Brembo rotors with Hawk HPS pads and got StopTech ss lines.

    Parts on order:
    AllPro HD sliders
SOS off-road concept front, mid and T case steel skids
1 SCS Stealth 6 wheel for spare

I also fabricated on board water system that has a 13 gallon main tank and it also allows me to use an aux tank or any body of water.

Got my full set of skids from SOS.

I painted my IFS skid, but the paint is not very durable, even after two coats. Besides powder coating, is there anything else I can try?

Bed liner might be another option. Could get it LineEx'd or pick up the Raptor Liner kit and do it at home. There really isn't any coating that is going to hold up to bouncing and sliding off rocks, protestors, or crazy commies...

Powder coating is nice and looks good new, but second you get a scratch or chip stuff just blows apart. I've also noticed that stuff fades like a SOB in the sun. LineEx I've seen to be the most durable out there. Could do a POR15 and then spray on bedliner on top as well.

You might want to try STEEL-IT. I bought a can and painted my bed bars with it, haven't put them on yet though. Pricey per can but might be worth a try. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=94&v=LnLSHVQobHo

It's Anti-Rust Stainless Steel In A Can, according to the packaging... ;-) Made with stainless steel micro flakes.

You can use it without primer in non-marine applications. I'm going to try it on my sliders and see how it holds up, they're saying it's a powder coat equivalent. It only comes in silver right now, but they're working on black. Oh, and you can weld right on it.

In preparation for a trip in a month, installed my cb. I also got some lights wired up in the bumper.

Since we had a snow day here in Corpus Christi, I decided to finish up some projects on the trail limo.

Installed the fog lights, found OEM pigtails and made it for an easy plug and play into factory harness.
I had my bumper light bar installed and two spare led pods laying around, installed them into the grill and tied the harness together. Overall came out nice and clean.
