Pm'd, as for colour I don't care, what ever is cheaper ultimately will help me make my decision :D. Red would be cool though lol

Appreciate it. I'll check those dimensions against my drawings in the morning.

Great idea to save weight! If I didn't already have a Pelfreybilt Tank skid sitting in the garage I'd be all over it.

I'll add that the skids are cut out using a CNC controlled router table. All of the cuts from this table are clean and free of burs.

It looks like black is the preference, though by your username it appears you might like the red, do I assume right? :D

Lots of bolt on chrome stuff
If black is the winner and you guys need one more order to get the group buy price I'll tip the scales. Otherwise I'll sit on this fence for a little while longer. I'm torn between saving a couple bucks by taking part in the group buy, or putting the cash into mods that are higher on my priority list. Life is sooo hard.

You sir are indeed correct! So im trying to understand exactly how this skid mounts, i see some grade 8 hardware(looks like) up front to a crossmember and then is it just like 2 velcro straps on each side with no other bolts in the rear? Maybe a picture of the back would clear this up im just having a hard time understanding what would prevent the skid from moving side to side when its hit.

Put your name in the hat and I'll make you a red one. :D

Two bolts up front and two straps on either side. The straps are cam buckles, not Velcro. The majority of the hits on the gas tank are front to back and not side to side. The straps hold the skid in place side to side just fine though. There aren't any bolts in the rear of the skid.

Real men just call it camping
So I'm guessing they don't fit the DCLB.

I'm out of town visiting family. I'll get the DCLB issue resolved on Monday.

I did verify that the distance between the straps is the same, just need to check the cross member to tank dimension.

Looks like black is the winner. I just got back into town, so I'll be verifying the longbed tomorrow. If for some reason it doesn't fit I can easily change my file to accommodate.
