The shop I'm talking with is still in the process of setting up their new waterjet, so we have a little more time to wait. Stay tuned!

    Swiggity swangin' biggity bangin'
It's Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene. It's a thermoplastic that has a long branch chain intermolecular structure, which gives it (among other things) excellent resistance to abrasion. It's main limitation is it's low temperature envelope, but we're not using it in >200deg F or <minus 100deg F temperatures either so that's not something you're going to be concerned with using @SMKYTXN's product.

In certain forms/molecular structures, UHMW strength exceeds that of mild and most hardened steel.

So in short, you can whack the crap out of it on a rock and have a scuff at most.

Anywhere that requires the physical properties of UHMWPE, such as ballistic armor, ropes, chemically-resistant applications and containers, hip replacements, etc.

And it is slippery. I have some on my table saw fence and have used it for sliding jigs and other shop uses. It machines similar to wood. Very versatile shit.
