You're going to love the red UHMW! That stuff is seriously bright.

I had the skid on during my last trip out, but didn't manage to drag it over anything. I did manage to twist my leafs, blow out my shocks, and break my drive shaft though.

My gas tank has small scuffs and a few minor gouges in it. The skid will take that hit now. The UHMW will also rebound after taking a hit where metal will deform and keep it's deformed shape.

Lots of bolt on chrome stuff
Having the gas tank behind the UHMW will contribute a lot to its rigidity. The skid will distribute the load and prevent the tank from being ruptured on sharp rocks, plus it's really slippery stuff so it will help you slide over obstacles. It's more of a Kevlar vest than a steel plate. I would think the tank could still get bent out of shape on bigger impacts but at least you wont be leaking fuel all over the trail and stranded in the middle of nowhere.

I haven't run one of these to test it out (yet) and this is a little out of my specialty, but I thought an unbiased opinion from someone with a technical background (engineer) might help you out. I'm excited about this product.

I will be testing the skids on a DCLB this weekend. If I have to, I will modify the cut file to make these skids work for you guys.

I haven't yet. Guess I need to look at the different configurations.

    DCSB - Yes
    DCLB - TBD
    SC - TBD
    AC - TBD

I would bet that DCSB and AC would be the same, since they have the same wheel base. I'm still sub'ed for the DCLB. This thing high centers easily, and I don't want to worry about the gas tank when the skinny peddle is needed.

I believe dcsb and a ac have the same frames. Need one for the same reason. One of the few cons of a dclb :p

Sure do. These are the measurements on my DBSB. I have a DCLB coming in Sunday, but we might as well confirm some dimensions.

From the front of the gas tank to the front of the cross member is about 9.5". The tape is butted up against the tank above the seam.

The distance between the straps, out to out, is about 26.25".
With the tape hooked on the back of the rear strap and measuring to the front of the forward strap.

If someone can crawl under their LB, AC, and SC and duplicate these dimensions I would appreciate it.
