Just got my 2018 dclb off road in cement. Been waiting for years to get cement in long bed so time to build her up.

 

Always been in the mod game bikes and performance cars mostly. Guess I am getting old so time to build an overland style rig, get out into nature away from speeding and all the headaches that brings. For reference these are my current cars I built 2009 fortester xt full jdm kit (wife’s car) 2005 sti

 

Just got the truck so mods will come slowly till I sell some vehicles but figured I would set up this build thread for now. Future plans are kings possibly long travel. Rock protection sliders/lo pro bumper. Bed cage for ikamper tent and all the other goodies to support luxury in remote locations around a camp fire. First mods are led reverse lighting and interior lights (moved over from my second gen) and removing all chrome off the truck. Just got my ajt fob today this is my third 4x4 tacoma. Excited to build it thanks for looking. The tacoma community is as tight as the Subaru community so thanks for all the help in advance. Aloha

Not the most exciting mod but hopefully worth the work. Ceramic coated the truck. Results, papaya reflection on the hood

Had to get rid of the chrome and wasn’t a fan of the metallic grey mesh. All satin black now. Led turns so no more orange bulb in headlights till I order new black headlights

Hey man, I used to own a Subaru GC8 with a WRX swap. One of the first 1000 people on NASIOC. Got a Land Rover LR3/Disco 3, because I made a vow to myself that once I lost the GC8, I would get a Land Rover. Fast forward, Land Rover is gone, and I have a 2018 Taco TRD Off-Road! I love the new technology on a spartan package!

 

I remember NASIOC lol. Used to go on there till I found the Hawaii Subie community iclub. Hawaii Subaru community is awesome. I built my sti myself. Gt3076, frontmount, 850s, 255 pump, rails, everey suspension part you can put on, advans ... it’s got everything. Hate to sell her but it’s time to build a new toy. Couple of my old friends got into Tacoma’s so I am going to be a bad influence and get them modding and start a new meet but instead of parking lots it’s out in the woods around a camp fire. Lol

 

Same boat. Modded Evo, STi, even SR'd Datsun. Now into a Tacoma and love it! Especially seeing a speed bump and hitting the throttle instead of the brakes

 

Nah, I never went to the meets. The only time I met up with Subaru people was to sell parts. Lol. I did CQuartz on my truck too, I did a bad job on wiping it off and have streaks in some areas...It really shows up on black. Did you get Reload? I spray it every so often after a wash.

I'm liking the 2018 grill in black, I'm trying to find one.

Got my tikit seat belt silencers. Good for when you off road and don’t wear seatbelts. Doubles as a beer opener.
