Just got to wiring up my brake controller and the thing stays on even after i shut the truck off and take the key out... is this normal? I checked for power at the factory plug, just to eliminate the possibility that i wired something wrong, with my multimeter and sure enough there is constant 12v power right at the harness (the one under the dash next to the parking brake).

    What gives?

My Tekonsha will shut down around 10minutes after the truck is off. Once brake pedal is pressed activating brake lights, it turns on again.
