Bert sorry it took so long to get back to you
    I used dorman lugs...…m12 -1.5
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CIXMCI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
    I also replaced my studs with dorman 610-343 M12-1.50 Serrated Wheel Stud - 15.55mm Knurl, 46.5mm Length ( https://www.ebay.com/itm/281843116951 )
the 15.55mm Knurl was real important to me it needed to fit snugly into the wheel hub that I used ( https://www.southwestwheel.com/p-2302-3500-lb-standard-spring-dexter-trailer-axle.aspx )

    You still around?
Looking to start my build and like your setup.
    1. Was hoping you could post some dimensions?
    2. Length of tongue?
    3. What size tubing did you use?
    4. What is your axle hub to hub length?

Yes, I'm still here. This summer has been really busy.
Tongue length is 71". It a solid square tube that is part of the structure of the frame. I believe the frame tube was 10ga wall, and the tongue was 3/16 wall tube. I wanted something that was going to be light, but also had to support my needs.

My axle length is kind of a love hate relationship right now. Driving on mountain roads and trails it tracks the same as my truck tires. I don't have to worry about my trailer tires going off the road in turns. But on long straight roads like to see my tires. I like to keep an eye on them since it is only a single axle trailer. I want to say they're about 46". I'll have to double check my notes at work. So far, everything is working out really well. I don't really have any regrets on my design. I did a lot of research on other people's trailers. Then put all the things I liked into mine. Hopefully this helps out some.20190706_144812.jpg

Would factory Toyota steel wheels work with this axle how it comes or do i need special lug nuts ?i dont really want to use spacers if i dont have to.
Curious as to your width(46) inst the trailer 48 wide?

I ended up using some tacoma spares on mine, same axle, and they were much better than the alloys I tried first. I used the lugs that came with the axle.

I was hoping so,im using steel fj 17 inch wheels on 4runner and wanted to use the same on trailer.
You think two inch clearance between tire and trailer is enough?

I had to go to the tire shop to get lug nuts that we would fit. I didn't have to use spacers. I love the length of my axles. The trailer tracks the exact line my truck does. I don't have to worry about the trailer tires going off the road when the r old is narrow. The only downfall of my axles being this short, is I find it hard to see the tires and fenders in my side mirrors unless I lean over a little.

read through but don't recall, did you get your axle some place local or did you get it online somewheres that you don't mind sharing?

I have been trying to find an online source for a custom axle but have been unsuccessful. I do have some local places to call and check out but haven't yet.

I got my axle through Tex Trail. I'd go through a local shop if you have one close to you (Redneck, Texas Trail, etc ). I would rather talk to a person on things that are specific. Other items is fine to order online. The axle I ordered was in stock, so it probably is a normal size.

I got my fenders through Tex Trail. Its nice since their shop is about 50yrd from my work. I had to cut the fenders and stretch them slightly to make them fit the tires.

    10inch?
A few ? for you on the specs, you use 1x3 for top rail ?
Is 20 tall enough or do you wish you would have made a little taller?
I think im going without a top as well, just more usable all around for me.
    Nice build
