Trailhunters being allocated ($71k after 5k markup)

I just bought a GM diesel rig and it’s pretty plain for 90. Vehicles prices are crazy right now.

 

Lot of bang for the Buck V6 308 HP , 4x4 , 4 wheel disc , extended cab 2024 Nissan Frontier has my attention dealer is selling it for 34k.

Here's the first $80k Tacoma Ive ever seen, lol. Its a SMART PRICE so it must be good. This dealer in Northern California is the WORST

Yeah, there are dealers that don’t do markups. Maybe a few port add-ons that you didn’t want, but at least you’re getting something for the money and usually, it’s not a huge sum of money for those. Anyone paying markup today pretty much chose to by not doing their due diligence.

 

IDK if I'd blame Toyota. The market is what it is and we've had record inflation since 2019.

Also, as an aside, it's the dealerships that are screwing people. I spoke with both the Toyota Dealerships I do business with, and both offered me below MSRP on the TrailHunter if I'm willing to wait out the first few rounds of allocations. Seeing as I just bought a 24 ORP, I'll wait. They offered me the same deal on the 4Runner TH coming out later this year.

Since I've got a 4Runner in my near future, I'm probably going to jump on that. (It's kinda weird not having a 4Runner in the garage, tbh.)

 

80k for a Tacoma hybrid trailer hunter edition lol it just sounds lame.
Toyota used to be economical and reliable. not the complete opposite.

 

Trailhunter base MSRP is $65K.
Toyota has been offering $100k vehicles, in today's money, since the late 90s.

 

Checking out the 2024 Frontier tomorrow , 31 otd , 4x4 V6 310 HP , hey will see on the trade they seem eager to deal.

 

Plus, no turbo.

If there are no quality control holds, I should be picking up a Trailhunter in 1-2 weeks. It has a real VIN and has been built. Dealer is selling at MSRP, it does have a few port add ons that I can resell.

I basically have a second job (my channel) paying for it though. Totally understandable that these are a hard sell for most people. If I didn't have a channel built around Toyotas, I wouldn't be able to afford one even though my day job has given us pretty significant cost of living increases several times over the past 6-7 years. Everything is so insane these days.

 

Get ready for a bunch of questions.

 

I am down with it , Yota priced me out of the Market being retired , you deep pockets let me know how you like the TH after the price is right.

 

I really wanted a 2001 or so 12 valve Cummins with MT in decent shape when I was looking for a truck in 2018. Gas mileage is way better and you get aallll that power.

I found a couple in nice condition but the price was astronomical for a 17 years old truck.

I also looked at a 2018 Ferd F150 FX4 Acess cab(same or better MPGs then the 3G) but no MT option. So here I am

 

These trucks are looking better and better. I bet they are gonna get a lot more popular. I mean frontier in general.

If I was looking for a new truck and was ok with AT, I would definitely buy the 2024 pro4x over the 4G.

If I was do buy a new midsize with MT, it would’ve been the gladiator. Good ol and reliable 3.6, solid axles, front locker, lots of rear leg room, removable doors etc…
