Anyone else have this problem? I drained my tranny and added the recommended 2.1 qts. But when I check it on the dipstick it's never in the right place. When the motors cold it shows theres to much fluid when its hot it shows theres not enough. I just pulled the plug not the whole pan. What should I do?

Well yeah i know how to check a tranny, get it warm run through all the gears slowly and then check it with the engine still running and when i check it it says its low even though i added the correct amount. Should i just leave it?

Sort of. I found on here in a couple places that the manuals wrong and everyone's adding around 4 qts. So I'm still not sure what's right.

Man the same thing happened to me the Toyota parts guy told me 2.6 for a drain and fill ended up more like 4.6 and I had to drive the truck a lil like that aka low. But I haven't herd anybody using more than 5 so that's what I'm gunna buy next time.
