I have a 2nd gen and am wanting to install a Hayden 679 that I have.Is the oil return line the bottom hose, right above the radiator hose? When undo that line do you remove the fitting that is in the radiator and use the one that is provided and then use the one that is removed to connect to the other end of the cooler?
    Thank's,
    Jason

Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
Oil goes in the top and out the bottom. Same can be said of the coolant.

You want to put it on the supply line to the radiator. The engine radiator will heat cold trans fluid to let it shot better on warm up.
With the cooler on the return side, there's nothing regulating the temp of the trans oil.
