Lifetime fluid. Lol, I love that. Who’s lifetime? Mine? The trucks? The trans? Or the fluid?

Haha, that’s what Toyota claims for the trans fluid.

I’m gonna have mine flushed at 100k. Aka next year at some point.

I know, lots of manufacturers make that claim incl. BMW. Funny how that coincides with their prepaid maintenance plans. Before those it was every time a sack of rice tips over in Asia... you know, when they still billed you for every visit to the service bay.
I hate automatic transmissions for that reason. Maintenance is such a conundrum. There’s no saying how long they’ll last with or without maintenance, perhaps don’t spend any money on maintenance and save it for when you need that rebuild/replacement

Yep. If I didn’t have a daily 80mi commute with half of that in stop/go traffic, I woulda traded the truck for a MT a long time ago.

My next rig or whatever will be a MT - whether a TJ or older Toyota truck or T4R

Where do you setup the option to add AT temp to the dashboard/display? I've been trying for hours and cant find it. Thanks in advance!

For reference, my trans pan temp averages around 185 and the TC around 190-195 just around town, now load or towing. Going to change to amsoil soon. Haven't checked for proper level from factory.

lol Thanks! I kept with the "Generic OBD2" network and there was the issue. Set it to read from "Network A" and all is good now. Thanks again!
