    I’m using;
    OBD link maint+
    Fusion app

Did anyone ever figure out how to get this working on the newer trucks? It seems those of us with a 2018 or later cannot get the PIDs to output anything. I have a 2023 and I cannot get this working.

I don't have one of those overpriced fancy phones so I bought a ScanGuage II and it works quite well without pissing around with a phone. Great for checking fluid levels, as well.

You don’t mess with a phone, but, now you have a gauge pod and a cable to mess with.

I thought about going that route, but, I don’t have the need to monitor trans all the time. I prefer the phone option; no cable, no pod to mount.

Everything has it's place. The ScanGuage stays in the truck all the time. I've got it mounted in a very discrete and handy place and the wire cannot be seen unless you specifically seek it out. I can monitor fluid temps even if I have no phone with me. And, as I said, it make checking the trans. fluid level as easy as is possible.

Couldn't agree more that the phone system probably suits a lot of people better than the ScanGuage but for me the SG II is perfect.

I use the Torque Pro app with the below scanner with the attached PIDS.
Tacoma 2021 DCLB v6 automatic trans, pinned external cooler.
    upload_2024-1-28_11-45-35.png

    OBD2 Mode and PID: 221627

Long Name: Transmission Fluid Pan Temperature
    Short Name: TF1 (pan)
    Minimum Value: -40
    Maximum Value: 350

Scale Factor: x1 (do not change)
    Unit Type: F
    Equation: (A*459/255)+(B*1.6/255)-40
    OBD Header: 701

    Diagnostic start command: (leave blank)
Diagnostic stop command: (leave blank) automatic trans
Overrides PID: Does not override any PID

    OBD2 Mode and PID: 221628
Long Name: Transmission Fluid Post-Converter Temperature
    Short Name: TF2 (conv)
    Minimum Value: -40
    Maximum Value: 350

Scale Factor: x1 (do not change)
    Unit Type: F
    Equation: (A*459/255)+(B*1.6/255)-40
    OBD Header: 701

    Diagnostic start command: (leave blank)
    Diagnostic stop command: (leave blank)
Overrides PID: Does not override any PID

Some results with pinned external cooler. Notice the TF1 and 2 results and the Ambient Outside Temp, speed and mileage of the trip. Truck was packed for camping say, 600 lbs including me on mainly flat freeway driving.

Okay thank you for posting these (again) - I thought maybe I was missing something but I am using the identical numbers/info and unfortunately this does not work on my 2023 TRD off road premium. I just get "NO DATA" as some others also have - I suppose I can try a different adapter but my adapter is almost identical to yours (generic blue ELM327) and works fine reading any other basic information. My suspicion is that Toyota changed something on some trucks. Model year cutoff, perhaps ECU part number, optional equipment, something. I am pretty invested in the Torque Pro app as I have all of my layout and theme all custom made on a tablet/mount so I was really hoping to stick with it but I may just need to go get a dedicated gauge or scanner. I just wish we could figure out why some work and some don't. I might also try some other Toyota PIDs/equations and see if I have any luck.

    Check you version of TORQUE.
I use the Torque Pro app ($5.00 ?)and not Torque Lite. I checked my tablet and those are the parameters that I use.
I BLUETOOTH between the scanner and the tablet.

I have Torque lite on my phone and it WILL NOT pick up those PIDS.
Torque Pro on my Samsung Tablet DOES pick up those PIDS.

Guess there's the difference between the two.
You can get the scanner from AMAZON for about $14.00

Definitely on Torque PRO, bought the program years ago. Long time user. The more I think about this, the more it makes sense to be an adapter issue. I've ordered that adapter as well as the Veepeak and a few others to test out. I'll report back. Thanks again for your help/response.
