I am trying to find a solution to transport rifles/shotguns in the truck where they wont get tossed around while hunting. I would prefer something where it would still be somewhat easy access. What are your setups/solutions?

I just use the scabbard I have from when I used to have horses. It hangs from a cheapo window mount gun rack. I have a similar scabbard for my bow and do the same in archery season.

My rifle will not only not fit there (same with bow), but bouncing down pot holed back roads would be annoying and dangerous if it did.

Any details on how you installed it? Their website says it doesn’t fit Tacomas.

I keep my deer rifle in a hard case in the back seat when I transport it. Ive never had an issue with it. Same goes for my shotgun.

IIRC there's a threaded hole in the roof of the access cabs right around where the doors come together. I read in one thread where a member pulled the headliner down enough to find that hole, make a corresponding cut in the headliner, and bolted the Big Sky rack with a bolt into that hole. That's been my plan, but other plans have taken precedence.
