So ive been doing alot of looking around, and i like what people say about the TRD exhaust. I called the stealership just to see what the price is through them and they said they are discontinued. Is this something you can no longer purchase for an 02 tacoma? I cant seem to really find one anywhere online either, maybe theres my sign lol. Anyone know how to get one?

    Thanks for any information

yes discontinued but every now and then you might be lucky and find one used. If you do they will be super expensive. Best bet is to go with a wicked flow or dynomax super turbo

    To much to list!
for as much as you would pay for the TRD catback you can go to an exhaust shop and get all new piping that is 2.5" from the exhaust manifold back including cats and muffler.

Does that mean the 2nd generation TRD catbacks are discontinued as well? I've been considering selling or trading my Banks exhaust for one. THe Banks is kind of loud when towing in "4" for hours.

2nd gens are still available. I got mine from Toyota of Richardson (shoptrd.com) Best price and free shipping, at least when I ordered.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah ill look into those. People were saying the TRD didnt sound too loud, and i kinda liked that. Oh well, ill just have to check some more out.

I also tow my fishing boat so i didnt want to loose any low end tourge. Not exactly sure how that plays out but ive read some post on here saying a more free flowing muffler would do that?

    Thanks for the info guys

The TRD Exhaust is mostly for the sound. I haven't seen any empirical data showing you get any substantial performance gain(or loss), but I have a 2nd gen. That said, I love mine. It's loud enough that you can hear it, especially when you get on the throttle, but doesn't drone on once your up to speed. Install took all of 10-15 min and didn't need to raise the truck or anything.

wicked flow and dynomax are a lot more free flowing than brands like magnaflow and flowmaster. I have a flowmaster muffler and love the sound and didn't notice any decrease or increase in performance
