You didn't offer the proper advice.... "Order the QQDN, that way you don't have to deal with pennies. Problem solved." Seriously though, that may end up being what I do (or go bucket). I think if the area between coins were continued another 1-2mm inward, it would likely lock in the coins better, which is where the idea of the tape/silicone came from. Of course any of those ideas are miles ahead of the slightly useless thing Toyota created and this solves.

I too had a similar issue. Where if the coin was at just a slightly off angle it would pop right out of its slot and into the middle. I'm thinking that I might even make my own little square spacer to fit in the middle when I am putting in the coin. And then take out when done loading. But that's just an idea that I have. Overall though I'm very happy to have this cool little contraption.

I see that sad and lonely nickel down there at the bottom... LOL

EDIT: Looking closely at your photo though, I think if the divider between the N/P were extended another 1mm and the divider between the P/D were extended another 2mm the problem might go away.

Really happy with my empty bucket version. Has anyone tried to add some color to the TRD? I was thinking red might look good to match my shift knob and Tufskinz but wasn’t sure the best way to approach it.

I am not sure, as I was thinking the same thing. Maybe @rrentrop has made some vinyl for the lid. Not sure if they would adhere very well or not.

Nice. Please let us know how this goes, I'd be interested if he comes up with a decal for the TRD logo on the lid.

Should I have gotten a tracking number for my coin holder? I see that other people have already received theirs.

I've considered the same thing, gonna ask a buddy of mine that's into hobby models and potentially air brushing the logo.

Not trying to sound like a cheapo, because I really want one. I just can't justify spending $50 on this. Will these come down any time?

If you were a little more local I’d come grab it,I understand shipping from HI isn’t cheap. If you can’t find a buyer at that price let me know and I’ll make an offer !

Put it up on OfferUp. I would suspect in HI you wouldn’t have any problems selling local coz so many Tacoma owners (pretty sure it’s the official vehicle of the island).

Received mine last Friday. Actually looks like a stock part and blends perfect with the center console. Thanks! @mesojdm 98DB986A-8696-46B0-8713-D3A6238084C1.jpg

The finish on mine seems like it'll show scratches easily. Does anyone know if a clear coat will help?
