I can't find a dislike button for your comment Mr Negative :p

Maybe I am crazy, I kinda wish it was a little noisier but I definitely do not regret. I could see myself having a louder one and saying the exact opposite, "sheesh I wish this wasn't so loud" hah.

I did not feel there was a "night and day difference" in terms of performance. A slight tic in acceleration on the low end and maybe a hiccup more when flooring it.

I purchased the TRD cold air intake. I got it on sale through eBay and have yet to regret the purchase. I do not claim any horsepower gains nor would be able to back them up. However, I do feel like the throttle response is better and nor can I back that claim up. I've enjoyed being able to hear the acceleration more vibrantly and am pleased with the fit and finish. Enjoy your purchase! It will look great under your hood.

Performance can be measured in many different ways.

I ordered some hex style drill bits the other day. They’ll be here Monday. Also ordered air filters and oil plug gaskets. Should be here any day now.

Some folks have done the resonator delete mod which is supposed to increase the sound significantly. No personal experience though.

the stereo just makes noise with no performance gains as well - and nobody would waste money on that! and back in the "musclecar" era (we just called them cars back then) with the cowl induction didn't do squat for horsepower - just intake noise to the windshield.

Installed this morning. Took it for a ride. 1st impressions...
1- idle seems a little more smooth
2- low rpm drivability only subtle changes... Smooth, seems a little more peppy.
3- wot acceleration- definitely more peppy. Punchier at the 3k to 4.5k range, definitely has a growl in that range as well that was not there before.

Don't know and don't care if there is an improvement in HP or Torque, those two figures are not necessarily a good measure of throttle response or driveability. And they are not necessarily a good measure of "umph", for example look up those numbers for a 70's Ford 3000 tractor. The numbers are quite low, but you can pull anything. You could knock trees down with ease.

I can make you a CD of my old Harley revved up and you can turn it up when you're feeling frisky.

Thank you, I don't have any CD's. Never used the CD player in my truck. It would be good to have a CD so that I can use that option. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Can you make one for a Ducati while you're at it, they run much more smoothly than a HD.

Sorry guys. My 2016 still has the CD player. I can put it on USB.

As for the Ducati, the Harley is much louder and that seems to be the goal, right??
