What's the difference between the tacomas with the Trd sticker and the ones without? What does sr5 mean

but is that it? Just the suspension and locker?

Is the TRD suspension that much better?

I guess what I am saying is, is it worth 8 more grand to get the trd

I got an SR5 and i am upgrading the stuff i want and spending way less than $8000. All in all i will be in around $3000 and than with a new suspension, trail armor, rear locker, and tires. And if you want you can put the fancy sticker on there. To me its not worth it.

There is a lot more than just the suspension and locker. See the post above and compare.

If you plan on offroading, even a little, I'd say get the Offroad. It has A-TRAC, which has paid for itself a few times already.

    EDIT: [removed]

Plus the Sport has that nasty hoodscoop, which serves no purpose, but to block the view.

PS: Oh, and get the 4x4... or get a car. Just my opinion.

Cars don't have beds like trucks in case you didn't notice.
    Not all people need 4x4

Dealer cost on TRD package is $2100. If your leaving your truck stock get it. 17" wheels and 265 tires, plus better shock. Limited slip is available on SR5 without TRD. Sport has hood scoop and color matched bumbers, grill, and door handles.

I'm not sure if you are confusing regular "limited slip" with A-TRAC. So if I misunderstood your comment, my apologies for this clarification:

I would just like to clarify that A-TRAC and a limited slip differential are two very different things.

A-TRAC is only available in the TRD Offroad. This system is highly beneficial not only in offroad/trail situations, but also on the beach, and in snow.

If you would like a basic explanation of how it works, let me know.

PS: A-TRAC was introduced with the 2009 model year, if I remember correctly.

A-TRAC is for women and children! 07 trd off road was the best year and model :burnrubber:
