I’ve been looking at the trd intake and I know my truck is the same as the previous years but I can’t confirm anywhere that the trd intake will fit my 2020. Does anyone know?

I know in the title it says 2020 but then down below it says up to 2019 and Toyota can’t confirm the fit on 2020 so that left me a little confused. Should I assume anything that fits a 2019 will fit a 2020? I just got my truck and it’s my first Toyota so I’m still figuring it all out. Thanks

Yes... it will. It’s going to take awhile for parts lists to be updated to 2020 vs 2019.

Save yourself some money and time and get the TRD air filter if performance is what you’re after. The box is just bling since you already have an essentially identical CAI. The stock assembly is actually quite a bit more expensive than the TRD kit, FWIW.

Lol true but it does give slightly better throttle response per my posterior dyno. Pretty comparable improvement to the TRD catback exhaust, IMO. At 1/10 the price.

Should post those results. Might actually be the first with evidence of it providing any real benefit.

Sorry to confuse. Posterior dyno = butt dyno. No empirical results of any kind.

It feels a little better and I really don’t think it’s placebo from the noise. In my limited personal experience, the engine pulls/revs more freely, has fewer moments where it struggles, etc. Whether or not it’s making more ponies, the improved “feel” is palpable.

I can attest, the truck feels better, smoother, stronger pull on acceleration, and sounds better with TRD CAI.
Just some notes on the design... Larger volume box above filter, larger diameter tube from box to throttle body, smaller resonator box. And then there is the main filter, and the permanent filter in top of box, both less restrictive.

The truck can't even use all the air the stock intake is capable of providing.

Websites are often slow to update fitment when the newer years of the same vehicle are released. Nothing has changed under the hood of the 3rd Gen Tacomas with regards to the air intakes so you are good to go.

That is true... Much better, so theoretically colder air supply.

The TRD Pro comes with this TRD Intake and TRD Exhaust and is rated exactly the same as other Tacoma's as far as HP, Torque, and MPG.

No. No it doesn’t. It comes with a “TRD muffler, pipe, tip” but does not come with any different intake than any other Tacoma.

My bad, I thought it had the TRD exhaust.

It does - it comes with the TRD Pro cat-back exhaust. It doesn't come with the TRD Cold Air Intake.
