@TodayWasTHeDaY this can definitely happen. Some sensors need a ground, and they get it through contact with the engine where they screw in.

To summarize...and correct me if I'm wrong...

I think HPS already makes the upper radiator hose for us since the NA and blower is the same.

But we are inquiring whether HPS can make a lower radiator hose for the trd blower guys/gals as another option versus the ($130) one that comes with the kit. (HPS already has the lower hose for NA)

The lower hose that comes with the blower kit still needs to be trimmed. Therefore the advantage of a HPS version would be that its silicon, hopefully cheaper, doesn't need to be trimmed.......and pretty colors.

Peeps found an existing hose (Ford Mustang) that would possibly work as the lower radiator hose that we need and have passed that info to HPS.

Also looking for a cheaper aftermarket replacement less than $130 in any case the lower hose takes a crap.

On another note, superchargersonline called me back and said the lower hose is backordered from Magnuson, with no eta. So I'm SOL.

Makes sense. I had the red ones but didn’t install them because I ended up finding out the lower one wouldn’t work.

Maybe see if a local parts store stocks that mustang hose and just see if it works? That would confirm it for us, and you wouldn’t have to wait for magnuson.

Sucks. I called RLHudson earlier and waited online for "Tucker". It went to a voicemail and I left a message, but no call back just yet. I told them that I found a part that seemed to be retrofitted and had their part number on it, but trying to get more info on its original design and fit.

Will follow up as I hear anything.

I understand one would need to use a simple washer-like spacer about the size of a nickel for each injector in order to use them with the orange TRD injectors, which is what I'll be doing.

Benefits of performance rails are, as I reason of it:
    1. Adequate delivery of fuel to your injectors resulting in less localized pressure drop. Localized flow problems or flow problems at one or more of the injectors could lead to an unsafe condition in the associated cylinder (lean fuel mixture or incorrect atomization of fuel) at high load. These problems may not be picked up by other sensors installed, such as the knock sensor or a fuel pressure sensor.
    2. Higher headroom at high load conditions for fuel flow (they won't be the bottleneck for fuel delivery).
    3. They is blingy.

Note, on the 3.0L engine on my car, upgraded fuel rails were required at the 400ftlb mark. Quite different from our trucks though, I realize, since they are side feed injectors, not top feed like ours. The injectors I have there are capable of flowing at 740cc/min, which is probably good for 700ftlbs on that car.

The benefits of upgraded fuel rails will for the most part be unseen. It's not like suddenly your engine will run more smoothly, or have more power, definitely not at the power and torque that TRD supercharged people see - 300-400ftlbs. But they are good for engine longevity and safety.

The part number I listed, PTR29-35061, is the TRD part number for that part kit. I called Toyota Tech Line and got a replacement part number for that exact hose from Toyota. But yes, it will need to be trimmed still. I believe. I will have the factory TRD part here by Friday. So we can see markings and take measurements.
