    I have been diagnosing cars longer than I care to think about. Toyota being no stranger to he arena. Not once have I ever seen the EVAP system cause that sort of noise. Noise from the purge clicking away? Yeah, but never a wah wah wah sort of noise.

    If you have any video or something showing this I would be more than happy to watch it and say I'm wrong. I would even like to be shown wrong actually. I'm not saying your wrong either as I tend to approach most vehicles with a very open mind, now more than ever, but this suggestion throws me off court for sure.

    That being said I have seen multiple cars with clogged/ partially clogged canisters before. There was a time that even my truck had it going on causing a "Air fuel ratio sensor stuck rich" code almost every time I filled up. I even talked about it here at one point because I was starting to get stumped. Upon doing a low pressure smoke test of the EVAP system on the rig, whatever was backing up the canister got cleared up or blown out elsewhere and my issue was no more.

    We now have a large air pump sucking up more air even at idle. The evap system was not drained with that in mind. Just thinking out side the box........maybe a little to far.

    Regardless, I'm sick of this no AC at idle bullshit on really hot days (excuse the language, I just feel this strongly about it) so I'm making the jump once they are ready for sale and never looking back. It's a win for me, MPG gain or not.

    That would be a significant jump in mpg compared to everyone else running electric fans. Looking forward to see how others do in that department.

    It would indeed. It would imply a heavy efficiency loss in the clutch driven fan. It's more of a preliminary statement on my end based on what he said, but regardless even if I don't gain a thing I still win because AC. Hahaha.

    I really "need-don't need" to see these comparisons. Especially since I am debating the 2.7 smoothflow now also. I know when it runs good just leave it alone is what normal people say, but when it runs good is when I want to get more out of it the most. And my truck has been running really good lately. I especially love how it runs and reacts to the throttle after I get done towing and the ECU doesn't know that there is no load on the truck anymore.

    So I installed the LFR6AIX's back in february and truck has been running great and gained 1 mpg back. Should I switch these out for the 2309 asap? I should pull one out and take a pic for you guys see what the warmer plug looks like. Probably only about 4000 miles put on them so far.

    That's really up to you. One heat range hotter really won't kill anything, though it is OE NA heat range plugs. If you have HPtuners you should take a log and send it over to Justin to see what he says.

    At what point in the upgrade ladder do the rutheniums show an advantage? Have 75k on the ones that came with the sc and they still look like new. Getting over 19mpg in mixed driving with an afe intake and 2.85 pulley getting 7.5 lbs of boost. Plan to change them at 90k as scheduled and thinking I should stick with what I have.

    We do make a difference in this market peeps.
