thats a pretty solid parts pile. ive done similar. you will be fine. i had a 2.7 before changing fuel pumps. yes its not recommended. if you have an a/t improvments will be needed. if you have a clutch that will be a future upgrade.

I found a belt that fits a 2.7" pulley. Its on the first page. It has to be purchased through ebay over seas. I had it on for about 3 months with no issues.

Roush tensioner dude. Then you can run OE size belts in the RPM series and obtain belts locally, quickly, You'll never have to worry about slippage, longevity issues, or searching for odd sizes. Just my train of thought on the matter.

I went ahead and ordered the 2.8 quick change as a starting point.

Is the OBD data for AFR sufficient (I assume that comes off the O2 sensors) or should I look for a different solution to monitor it?

Just give it some more cranking frijoles on the tensioner mijo.

I'll have to take a look. You are the opposite of me. I like to do things the easy and most logical way that works for future access.

You wont be able to see the lower AFR number you will want to monitor for the S/C. Plan to get a boost gauge and additional AFR or 2 Sensors. I think the stock ones wont read below a certain point but forgot what that was.

Nice. Why did you go back to 2.8? Just curious. I’ve thought of the tensioner but I don’t wanna mess with swapping parts off it. I will when/if I break the stock tensioner.

Same here... I'll keep the pulley wrap on for now until I pull the whole thing off for service.

I did not go back to a 2.8. I have only ran a 2.7" since taking the stock pulley off.

My wrap wasn’t looking good, still worked fine though. Just wanted it off. So for me it was easier to just switch to a 2.8 to keep the stock size belt

Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
From my reading, gutting the cats is not a good performance option. Maybe just for getting by without having to replace. The enlarged portion of the exhaust will now cause turbulence and restrict flow. The catalytic material cancels out that widened area. I believe it was experimented on a Mustang and Dyno.
I think OE cats handle the heat from boost just fine.

As long as you can get the OEM ones out without removing it, getting our coil in should be easy. The head itself is larger but the stalk is urethane so you can insert it bent, then push the coil in from the side until it's all the way in.

Will I be happy spending 6k on supercharger?

The truck is a toy but 6k is alot of money for me.

Wanting to install smaller pulley from the jump.

Is bullydog tuner with kit safe?

Im not trying to drag race.
