Pretty soon I want to replace the exhaust system because I bought aluminized steel before and didn't know it rusts. So replacing now. 2.5 or 3" piping? 3" worth the extra noise?

Just wanted to shout out SCOL.
    Superchargersonline.com

They been a huge help since day 1 of buying my used TRD supercharger.
Got all the missing parts I needed, even bits and pieces that were 1 item in a large grouped bag of other parts.

When I slapped the unit on and realized it needed to be rebuilt - they were able to do so. Since my truck is my only vehicle, David had a tech come in on the weekend to finish my unit so I wouldn’t be without a vehicle for close to a month.

    Also as clarification to others:
The 2 business day turnaround time from approval is for the diagnosis/tear down when they receive the unit. The rebuild is additionally a few weeks+ depending on their schedule. This was the only part throughout my entire experience that was unclear to me.

I approved the charge on my card yesterday at ~2pm and at 10:40am this morning I got the FedEx notification it was delivered.

I’ll definitely be going to them for all my boost needs!

I am in the same boat. Been going back and forth on having a whatever shop do it or get a nice mandrel/welded setup for more $$$. Checked with a few shops and $$$$$$$$$$.

Considering when I look it when I work on the truck I went for the mandrel welded. If it's covered with skids and bashed around I would get the cheapy one as you won't cry over it and basically functions the same.

From reading the install manual and knowing that was originally designed to be Toyota Dealer installed option, I decided that the place they had tapped was for "ease" of dealer installation as well as the "safest" to not cause any warranty claims. There is no point of it running while the truck is off other than marginal decrease in intercooler coolant temps dropping a bit quicker before the next startup of the truck.

gotcha I was wondering how much it mattered. Is mostly covered in skids and dirty all of the time so there is that. I do have a N/A JFR Y that needs to be modified to go from 2.5 to 3 and have a header mount corrected as it was moved slightly. I am looking for the performance gains but also did not feel like dropping 3-4k on exhaust which is what I was quoted. I need to find a nice shop for the Y adjustments but for the rest well see. I have a Black Widow Muffler and may need a resi or similar.

Alright, I finally moved my supercharger tap off of the 10A EFI fuse as shown in the install manual to the output also tapped for the @nd4spdbh 's anytime fog light mod.
Tested with a few key OFF>IGN cycles and everything tests out fine. I'll be happy to not hear this kick on dozens of times in the middle of the night when camping and drawing my battery down even more. I have a single 27F AGM powering my fridge when the truck is off and I don't need to be wasting any extra power.

Photos and instructions in my new "build" thread…

First time in a long time, I drove around like a douche, mashing it everywhere. Felt fast af but maybe everyone was just driving slower. But I don't drive WOT everywhere. Probably better to be quiet side while around town.

Yea definitely cleaner and pretty much around the spot where mine is, except the purge valve is zipped tied on the fuel line. Is that the bracket that supposes to hold a harness that you bolted down too?

Page 1 material my dude. I will have to give the overall post another spin to decide if that's the way I want to run mine but for others, this is infinitely a great solution to the idiotic design that TRD had designed for them.

Probably. Don't remember but I modified it by grinding it and rebending it to conform to the support bracket. It would go unnoticed to 99.9% of people but I like the cleaner look.

So just thinking out loud here after doing some research.. hoping you guys can provide some feedback. Regarding my overheating issue, I'm starting to think it may be more to do with the Trans getting hot than anything... The Rad and HD Trans cooler from Mishi is looking pretty good right now.. but I havent had time to check anything else yet either. I plan to check the fan clutch this weekend real quick. I'm just trying to figure out where to start diagnosing before throwing money/parts at it.

Head Gasket? I hate to recommend that, but its worth investigating if you're having an over heating issue. I would think the trans would have to be red hot for you to see it in the radiator.

Taming the Trans def helped it big time. Now I am mainly getting heat at standstill but the Trans is feeling much better. Going wth a Cooler and Fan is first step I would go with. The Bigger Radiator for the engine is a nice to have but I would go with the trans cooler first as someone that suffered big heat issues. But if engine is overheating @DocME could be right. I never had the engine overheat.

well, I guess that's kind of where I'm hung up at. Wouldnt high Trans temps show up in engine temps as well? Doesnt the trans cooler pass-through the Rad? I also have the towing package cooler, but I'm just thinking if that the Trans is overworked and getting hot, would it affect the engine temp readings and or not allow the engine to cool if it cant keep up? I definitely want to get the upgraded HD Trans cooler.. I'm also just trying to understand the entire system in general.

I havent experienced any loss of power, smoke, loss of coolant, etc.. so headgasket isnt on the top of my list.. but yeah.. its always in the back of my mind.
