Be sure to take lots of pictures when you get it! Excited to see how things look once you get it unboxed, especially their serpentine belt/pulley setup

How vibration do you get? At idle? Overall?
That is my biggest dislike about poly bushing.

I’m tempted to try Whiteline. The Energy Suspension steering rack bushings were always shifting. The Whitelines have been solid. Tighter tolerance.

interesting. I've never had issues with my Energy steering rack bushings. I swapped in a fresh rack and did the swap at the same time years ago and I'm still on the same rack, even after 35s.

Bushings have probably come a long way, but years ago I installed energy suspension poly bushings into the control arms of a lowered 442. They squeaked so bad it drove me nuts.
I ended up flipping the car for something better before I got a chance to change it back.

I've been using Superpros. They have held up very well no squeaks over the years. I didn't have great luck with energy and prothane.

I think a lot of the squeaks have been from over torquing.

Someone compared the inside diameter between Energy and Whiteline and Energy was loose. But maybe they updated the steering rack sleeve?

I was just told after noticing some differences when I went to order that the unit was recently upgraded to an Eaton TVS from the outgoing VT.

Also had to send in photos to finalize my order (appreciate they do extra confirmation to verify the right parts are sent, and warranty). Probably won't see the unit until the 1st or 2nd week of 2025. Unfortunately/fortunately I won't have the truck on the road for a month or so though even after I get the unit........ have some other things going on (that said, if you need locked/5.29's, Front/Rear, with rear disk BBK let me know).

So, I have some Turbo questions. And I apologize in advance for the lengthy post.

It's a little off topic as it's for my newly acquired 86 22RTE (Turbo) 4Runner... But I'd like some insight from my trusted and experienced boosted Peeps.

I picked this thing up with some mods and changes already done to it. I knew about most of it going into it, as I did a ton of research beforehand on the turbo and the common problems and solutions for it. The previous owner already took care of the turbo swap. He updated the turbo from factory Toyota CT20 turbo to a Garrett T25 from a later year SR20 + an adapter for the flange difference. I knew there was an exhaust leak at this adapter prior to purchase.. and he thought maybe the nuts from the studs backed off. Well, they didn't.. The last 2 of the 4 studs for the adapter to turbo flange sheared on my way home from California back to Arizona. I've been in the process of tearing it down and figuring out what's what. I have a new adapter, hardware, gaskets, etc. I'm not too concerned about the repairs on that.. it's more so what I found along the way.

It seems these turbo 22re's had a coolant feed for the turbo, and a return from turbo back to the top of radiator. My radiator has the barb for the return. They also have oil feed and drain. I have both of those as well in the block. The issue is.. I found the heater core return to be capped at the end of the line.. and from what I gather, he has the water feed for the turbo.. being supplied from the return that the heater core return hose is supposed to be ran to. The water return from the turbo was ran correctly tho to the radiator. I believe in my research (which is very limited for these) is that a T union with a feed barb for the turbo that is between the radiator and water pump.. was replaced with one that doesnt have a barb/accomodations for turbo water feed. So instead, he utilized the heater return and turbo return.. which obviously.. isn't doing anything. I'm trying to get it back to somewhat how it should be. I think the missing piece is the "hard to find" T union with the barb needed for the turbo. That's what I can come up with from my research anyways. That T union is also in the lower position of the turbo so it makes sense that it would be there and the return above it. Location wise I think that's where a T Union would be.

So, I'm thinking of adding a T union (1" to 1" with 3/8" barb) in-between the Rad and water pump.. like how it should have came (I think..).. and feeding the turbo from there.. and the water return would be the same as it is now (to Rad). The heater core return would be routed back to the factory barb at the back of the timing cover/water pump. Would that location for the T union for the water FEED for the turbo be ok there? Is there anything else I'm missing? I have photos for reference of both motor side and turbo (it's all apart right now).

Any insight is appreciated as it's very limited online and I'm learning about Turbo's as I'm going. Definitely learned a lot already..

    Cheers.. and Merry Christmas.
