I am looking for a 2009 Tacoma Double cab and need to know if the TRD Off Road package is worth the extra cash. I found a 2009 tacoma for sale for 27,000 but no trd off road package. It does have the towing package tho.

    What should i do?

Depends why you want the TRD package. I think it is worth it.

I wanted the LOCKER when I bought my TRD but I also wanted the Color matched Sport Option.

I ended getting the Off-Road for much cheaper than the Sport. In the end, I have both!:D

That's a hell of a deal. Either I got ripped off or you have a factory connection.

^ I researched and waited 3.5 months before I got the best deal. I was turned down plenty of times and walked away plenty of times. I ended up talking to a FLEET Manager and got an awesome deal! I also took him out 2 weeks later for a night of drinks. I got him drunk! :D

The TRD Off road is definitely worth it. Spend the little extra to have the truck you want!! An equivalent locker alone is half the price of the whole package.

Well worth the money, I wouldnt have anything but. I have used my Locker a few times on trails and in the snow. The snow was great when I put chains on I was pushing over a foot of snow with the front bumper with the locker on it was like a bulldozer. Lots of fun.

My TRD OFF ROAD came with bigger Alternator / Larger Batter / factory Oil Cooler and whole bunch of other stuff that came with TRD OFF ROAD. For complete list what comes with TRD OFF ROAD you can look at this spec sheet.

Front skid plate. Hood protector, and wade in-channel guards. K&N CAI. Weathertech floormats, and door scuff guards. Tri-fold soft tonneau cover.
I say it's worth it. If you look around, you can find a deal. I got a 2009 4dr with everything, and only spebt 28.5k.
