Don't worry if his truck is a half ton with active fuel management it will eventually eat a lifter and consequentially the cam shaft. Mean while your Tacoma will just keep on trucking.

Yup. Hence the reason why Ford went DOHC with their own advanced version of VVT and a few other goodies to get mileage plus power to beat out any active fuel management or variable displacement.

Honestly truck dick swinging gets pretty funny. If your buddy needs to swing his dick around about his towing capacity ask how he feels next to a freightliner. Behind each stick there is always a bigger stick, so in general it's best to remember to tread lightly or the biggest one will end up in the back of your skull.

You guys should have been here for when @bryanbyers28 posted about his girlfriend saying that she doesn't think his Tacoma was a truck.

It was better, and had more pages.

Short story? SHE GONE. Truck stayed.

Coincidentally, she was a ranchers daughter used to F350s and bigger. She was right in her opinion, but still a bitch.

I was around for that. I face palmed many times.

I've also been here for AK something or other teaching us all about hustling and some 12 yo adding an environmentally friendly smoke machine to his muffler. Not to mention the unicorn gay sticker, the slow conversion from gas to diesel to ween your truck off that nasty high octane stuff, etc etc. Something that will make you want to bash your skull in on your screen and laugh your ass off at the same time is always going on around here.

IIRC she had an F250 and that was "da bomb" in her area. Honestly, my wife drives a bigger personal truck than I do and I'm perfectly confident in the length, girth, and agility of my penis.

I get that you're not exactly submitting a serious/professional review to the press, but I wouldn't call something else a "better truck" because it is bigger and stronger. That is assuming the definition of a truck.

I think the Tacoma is the best truck for people who don't need to tow very much or often. If you like to offroad, that's a bonus.

Bottom line, there's a reason it's so popular and has such high resale. It can haul and tow more than what I assume is 90% of "truck owners" need to while excelling in QDR and again, if you're an offroader, you hit the jackpot. A properly maintained Tacoma should have no problem lasting hundreds of thousands of miles.

Nothing against having a full-size and not towing with it either, it's all about needs and preference. But to say the Tacoma is a poor truck is to miss a lot of points.

I was there for that, glad to hear the outcome.

Tacoma is a sedan with a bed.

It's a truck for people who don't need a truck.

You pretty much just said its a great truck for people who don't really need to do truck stuff very much. Which is pretty much what I said also.

    Don't really need to tow.
    Don't really need to haul.
    Don't really need to plow.
Don't really need a lot of power.
Don't really need a lot of space.
    Need a bed.
    Need room for 4.
Need something for bags of mulch.
    Need something offroad capable.

Well, well, well. I see your doing your usual dead level best to stir the pot this evening. And doing a damn fine job of it, I'd hasten to add.

I have to argue that the Tacoma is plenty big for plowing if you have the long box...

Snow plows prefer long bed lengths?

I thought they liked frames that didn't fold like t-shirts at Old Navy.

Yes, but here, DCSBFTMFW, here? Why here? Why tonight? You know what happens when you pull the cat's tail. It hisses and pukes up hairballs. Now, is that really what you want to see?
