Does anyone know how much weight the factory towing package adds to the weight of my new-to-me 05 TRD OR 4x4? I ask because the mileage I'm getting is lower than the book/epa mileage. The vehicle also feels heavier than my other Taco, an 06 4x4 i4 manual, but maybe that's just the effect of the Bilsteins. Thanks.

Total weight over a non tow package equiped truck is closer to 200#.
The hitch weighs 65# alone. ;)

The factory one has some plates that reinforce the frame area. The box with the hitch, plates, and nuts and bolts said on the side "65lbs.". I didnt weigh it my self, but its pretty heavy. Made one guy grunt when he picked it up. One of the reasons I tell people to buy the OEM hitch is because it comes with all the reinforcing plates, and such. Seems like a much stronger unit than the aftermarket ones.
