    Hello all,

Question is, I'd like to replace the rigid industries factory foglight setup on my 2020 TRD Pro with something that has more useful lighting in rain/fog inclement weather conditions.

It looks like I will have to replace the bezel and possible mounting hardware on the back to do so from what i can tell, any suggestions as to a better light and hardware? These factory lights are just not very strong in my opinion, Thanks.

    My main question is,
Do i have to change the bezels and which ones do i need to get?
Do i have to change the mounting hardware behind the foglight to put in aftermarket lights, even one from that article, you all are referring too.

    Those are my questions.

You need to replace the bezels if you decide to replace them with any aftermarket offerings. If you opt for DD SS3s or BD Squadrons, you need to get the OEM bezels. The hardware mounting kit should be supplied by the aftermarket lights that you will go with.

You don't have to replace bezel, all you need is a fog light kit. For example the diode dynamics ss3 max fog light kit for 3rd gen tacoma. I did this on my taco pro before I sold it. Ss3 max are incredibly bright too. Hotshot off-road will take care of you.

He has a TRD Pro with a different bezel that would only fit the Rigid SR-Ms…

    In2seconds,

After your post and doing research it was obvious I would have to change them. I found some factory Toyota part numbered bezels on Ebay and purchased them this morning. Now I've just got to zero in on who and what light. I was however unsure of rear mounting hardware, however, you clarified that when you said the manufacturer will provide that with the lights.

I'm definitely buying them from Hotshotoffroad, I recently purchased my stealth lightbar from Colton and just installed it and love it. So I'm going to give him my business, once I decide on a light.

For my girls taco, I bought a set of fogs from baja designs, came with bezels, and. Everything, little bit of work but all plug and play. I have all KC on my tundra. I started using baja on my side by sides. They are a kick ass company, great products, ( pricey but you get what you pay for) I had a 3rd brake lite made for my raptor, and for both Tacoma, and tundras in the family, super brite white. And the follow me light I did green. On one and yellow lenses on others. Check out Baja’s kit

Well i ordered some factory toyota bezels.
Gonna price the DD SS3 white foglight max, no amber backlight(i think). I'm just not a big fan of yellow lighting.

What exactly does the amber backlight look like and do on the foglight? Is it like a halo ring in amber around it??

I'd say the backlight lights up more like a marker light
white 6000K is terrible as a fog light color temp for heavy fog or other poor visibility conditions, to reflective

I appreciate the offer, but I'll have a fine set when I stick these new factory toyota round holes that I bought today, too replace these rigid industries with. But thanks anyways!

Where i live at, we simply don't have much fog, maybe a couple of times a year if that, so really not to worried about the fog, we get like 1-2 snows a year, so again not a big deal, spotting the deer on the side of the road is more important to me than the weather.

I have selective yellow SS3 Max fogs, but they do not have the backlight function - which is purely cosmetic by the way. I do happen to have a pair of SS5's behind my grill though and they do have the backlight function. There are several colors one can select for the backlight, and I chose the one that was closest to my running lights because that's the circuit they're tied into. Here's what the backlight function looks like. It's very similar to the SS3's.
