I bought the TRD Pro skid and it came missing the two small rearmost bolts. Sounds like this is fairly common. I’ve contacted the seller for replacements but would like to get it mounted for now and then replace the bolts later with what they send me.

Has anybody bought these bolts and know which size I’d need if I picked them up from the hardware store?

You can use the two 12mm bolts from your stock skid plate, it is the same bolt, it will just be black, instead of the TRD grey.

You do not necessarily need it, but you can also go out to Homedepot or any autoshop and get two M8-1.25 bolt retainers. Not needed to install, just for those that want to be like OEM.

Thanks guys. Tried searching but apparently my search skills are lacking today. I’m blaming the rain. And frustration from missing bolts. :frusty:

From the stock skid plate, the two rear bolts will be 12mm M8-1.25 x 20mm, use those on the TRD Skidplate. Same bolt, slightly shorter and black, but it works. My friend has had his installed this way for about two years already, and no issues.

My sport doesn’t have bolts or a skid plate as far back as where these would be.

Yes, but two of the four bolts in your existing skid plate will work in the TRD skid rear holes. I recently did the same thing.

    I have a sport also.
The front oem skid plate uses four 12mm M8-1.25 x 20mm bolts.

    If you have an Offroad,
then you will have 8 of those bolts.

    You're welcome!

One mistake that I made was completely removing the Frame Braces. Hahaha! I didn't read the instructions beforehand because I got the skid second hand.

    12mm socket for M8 thread. :D

Could disassemble most of the Taco with a 10mm, 12mm, 17mm, and 19mm wrenches. Pretty sure that's how the bad guys grab Kings? o_O

Don’t forget the 14. Then you’d be all set.
