I put a small/medium sized box under mine and slid it into position.

The rattle could be from something in the skid plate

Just got the pro plate last night from 40% sale. Thanks for the hints to make installation easy.

Prior to 2018, they didn’t come with inlays.

I was just about to add black inlays when I took that pic:

Thanks pal- I did have it powder coated. For my truck I just didn’t like the way it stood out in that light grayish color. That said, when I see it on others I really like the way it looks. Odd duck, go figure.

I like it! I can’t tell if you’re being humble, but black looks a lot better IMO

No man I'm with you. The reason I didn't get the TRD skid is because I think it sticks out too much against my black truck. The powder coat was a great call. Check out some of the vinyl stickers vendors on here. I'm sure they could hook you up with a red TRD to match. That'd look awesome.

I used standard ramps and a 5 gal bucket to stage the skid. Was perfect.

I put it on my legs and then slid under the bumper and lifted it into place.

This, looked like a turtle on it's back trying to put the skid in place. Just have to get a bolt or two started

I just put my plate right on. Fairly easy, but mine came with a bolt in the jack spot. I guess I'm curious as to why, and how to use the jack there now. The bolt does not attach, and I don't see any other plates with a bolt there. Is someone at the plant just messing with me?

I want one of these! Where's the cheapest place to find em? I tried searching CL, OfferUP, and Letgo but no luck finding used ones.
