I don't think you can go wrong with ANY model of Toyota...my first was a 1979 station wagon. Bought for $200, drove it for 3 years and sold it for $200 back in the 80's. I miss that ugly reliable jem!!

Went with the Sport because it has a better ride on the paved road, where I drive it nearly all of the time, yet is still excellent off-road too. If I was going to use it the majority of the time off-road, then I may have considered a different model. Didn’t like the scoop at first and thought it was silly. Now I think it looks great.

If it’s so great why do you need to replace everything on the suspension?

    Suckers!!! Lol

And you still don’t have a skewp!

I bought the Sport because my driving is 85% pavement and 15% off road. I find it perfectly suited to conquer both.0804181650_resized.jpg

Agree, if you need to haul people why not get the 4-Runner and if need be a trailer to haul your firewood...

I would strongly disagree that MT is a complete dog after 86 mph. My truck is a flying machine:devil:.

you don't get it, other people do. Simply the trim just fits their needs well. I recently just got a 19 OR but if I could find a Sport in manual, I would have also jumped on it. After all, both great vehicles.

I understand the sport trim but it isnt for me. First of all, I wheel my truck so I wanted the locker. Crawl control never gets used in mine so I didn't care about that. Reasons I dislike the sport

    1. No Locker

    2. Hate the painted fender flares - it makes the truck (look) like it has less wheel well. The black flares give the appearance that it is sitting up higher because the black flare blends in with the wheel well. Just my opinion.

    3. I dislike the painted front trim on the bumper. I like the contrast of the black.

    4. Refer back to #1

You don't buy a truck for its fucking fenders!
    2.5" lift w/35's
I got the sport because it had 25,000 miles on it and I got it for 29k. Plus you couldn't get the offroad in DCLB on the second gens. The other truck I was looking at was 2wd and the guy wanted like 34k or something. I offroad all the time and even on some of the tougher trails I never NEEDED a locker. Would have been nice a few times to make it easier, but thats no fun lol.

Do you Neeeeeeeed one...No....Does it keep you from beating the crap out of your truck in some situations.....YES! lol. I wheel with people who do not have lockers and let me tell you.... More Skinny pedal and lots of re-positioning is the only way they're getting through things that I just walk right up.

You can also get the Double Cab Long Bed in SR5 and Off Road Trims too, no MT is offered on any DCLB models though.
