Hey everyone, just bought a 2002 TRD Tacoma Double Cab - just like on I owned years ago. It's got about 82,000 miles on it, and I was wondering at what point I need to replace the stock shocks? Can you upgrade the shocks alone without any other mods? I use it as my daily driver so I'm probably going to keep it pretty close to stock. Thanks.

I guess I was wondering what my limitations (if any) there were since I don't have a lift on it. What is the typical life on those stock TRD shocks?

No real limitations. Take a look at the Bilstien 5100 shocks. They can be used to lift the truck down the road if you want...or they can be left stock and they are a FAR better shock than the TRD fleet ones.

You'll be pleased with the upgrade...even if your shocks didn't have 82K on them.

Thanks for the advice. I'm wondering if my shocks are a little floaty ... it's hard to tell. Any idea how much those run? I can't seem to find pricing online.
