Hello All. My Tacoma and it's supercharger have passed the 100K milestone. My understanding is that the TRD supercharger is a 100K unit. Has anyone else passed this milestone, and if so what kind of maintenance do you recommend? I spoke to Manguson at one point and they recommended changing it's oil and cleaning and putting new grease in the rear needle bearings. Let me know what you think. This is on a 2010 4L by the way.

    Thanks,

    -Ethan

I took mine to the dealer and they went through it and did all of their recommended stuff.

My 2002 Tundra had a TRD supercharger put on it when it was brand new, and it now has 195k miles on it. I have no idea what maintenance was done on it before I bought it, but I do intend to order the oil change kit soon.

change the oil in the nose cone at a minimum. Super easy. Also change the supercharger belt.

Thanks for all the replies and the link to the excellent write up. It's really good to hear these things can last. I'll be doing this service next month as well as going through all idler pulleys. I've got an engine idler pulley that is directly behind an SC pulley that is getting noisy.

It's got 107k on it now. No issues with the SC. I have a rattling noise at about 3200 RPM that I've isolated to bearings on an engine idler pulley that is behind and on the same stud as an SC pulley. I took both belts loose a month or so ago and when I spin that pulley it sounds like crap. When you turn it you can feel the bearing roughness.

I was not having any issues at all with my Supercharger but I had just gotten the truck and was trying to make sure all the maintenance was all caught up on it so in it went. Its been around 15k miles ago and still running super smooth. I also had the 2.85 pully installed at the local speed shop which made a pretty hefty difference and still running sweet as ever.

Anyone know what the recommended spark plug interval is for the iridiums? I believe they typically are a 100k plug, but didn't know if the S/C would make any difference in the interval.

I'm over 100k on mine. I'll be replacing mine when I service the S/C.

I also replaced my rear bearings at this stage. It’s not hard but the puller tool was kinda expensive to make. Look up Jon Bond Performance on YouTube, he has a video on what the tool looks like and how it works.
