TRD Supercharger question

    I have a 96 Tacoma extra cab 5 spd . My question is about a Trd Supercharger with 4 port . Would that work for my vehicle

    I don't think any pre 98 tacomas can be s/c'd easily because of ECU restrictions.

    all you need ecu wise for low boost is the ecu out of a 97 Tacoma with same transmission configuration as you (and obviously the 3.4L)
    Fuel wise is a little trickier as the 7th injector kit won't work with these older models for a reason im not 100% on just know is wont work, but URD used to make an upgrade kit that had 6 new pnp injectors and a controller and fuel pump. too bad they have sinced stop selling it so you cant buy from them.
    However it is still possible to find one. granted it will be almost 1k if not more and you will have to do some digging, but it will be easy plug and play ready to go with your new ecu.

    congratulations you now have 300bhp and a very unique truck:thumbsup:.

    sorry if there is more information that I have not provided I have not experienced this I have only done my own very extensive research as I plan to do all the things I listed. How I gave you what you were looking for

    I have a 01, Has anyone had any auto transmission issues with the supercharger?
