Most modern plugs (at least the Iridiums I've used) are pre-gapped precisely. Be careful if you decide to adjust the gap.

Tryin to find some info advice for my setup
    96 Tacoma
    3.4 supercharger stock pulley

S/c started to make some noise so I decided to rebuild it(parts on the way)
Since I’ll have the s/c off I was gonna do valve cover gaskets, plugs, wires an injectors, walbro 190 fuel pump

The question is the injectors, I bought some 305cc off eBay (p/n 23250-46030), the guy swears they work on all 3.4 with no tuning but I am still unsure (link to injectors I bought http://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eB...9&pm=1&ds=0&t=1505147867000&ver=0&cspheader=1 ).

I have read some things that these injectors will work with no tuning an have read more that they won’t.

I also found some injectors off five o Motorsports they have the injectors with p/n 23250-0a010/23250-20020, five o claims 294cc with no need for tune

Same injectors on Fuel1.net claim 264cc

Oe spec is supposed to be 255cc

    The 305cc injectors I got were $180
I’ve seen the 23550-0a010/23250-20020 for as low as $40

I guess my question is should I bother at all with injectors an or fuel pump?

Would I see any benefit from say just using the smaller injectors?

I read that the guy from urd was running 270 cc injectors an still would run lean,

Would be nice if I could have it run a little better without spending a shit ton

Anyone have any experience with this ? Thanks in advance

A walbro 255 lph would be better. More room for future hp growth.

Get the properly sized injectors for the engine hp you plan on making. Get some for of aftermarket tuning device.

Cutting corners only costs you much more than you anticipated when trying to save coin up front.

Hello, is the only supercharger available for a 2014 4.0L a Magnuson? I'm looking to buy and the prices have skyrocketed in the last couple years. Doubled! Any help is greatly appreciated.

Only Magnuson and TRD, but good luck finding a TRD stamped blower these days. It is the same blower, made by the same initial company who built them for TRD, except without the large logo stamped all over it.

Thanks! So $5k is where it's at now? That seems ridiculous.

Without the bully dog tuner they are 4.5-4.6k

Consensus is find something else to tune the truck and don't waste the money on the kit with the bully dog.
Only reason to buy the kit with the bully dog is if you live in CA and need the CARB sticker.

For tuning go UCON or OV Tune

UCONs gonna add 1.6k to the cost.

You gotta pay if you want to play. Once you have the blower though, the amount of power gains you can get out of it in comparison to the cost for said power is ridiculous. NA owners find themselves spending thousands to try to even scratch at the amount of power increases per mod that we get.

The boosted world is a totally different game. To me well worth investing in at this juncture.

I understand why he is doing it, I agree with Jesse though. Also the 3rd gen tune has gotten so many updates in the time he has released the 2nd gen handhelds.

Isn’t twin turbo kind of over kill? I think a single turbo would be more than enough if it was setup properly, but also I am not turbo expert. I also find it strange he wants to offer like 3 different turbos straight out the gate.

I read just a little on it. Those turbos are very small, maybe that’s why it’s a tt setup. Plus that 3.5 motor isn’t that peppy of a motor from what I hear, maybe that’s why it’s a tt setup as well.....

That motor lacks low end torque which a turbo isn’t really the best at resolving. I mean yes you can make them spool very fast with low gains in the top end.. I dunno maybe he is going for a system like the ecoboost? I am pretty sure those are a twin setup
