Hi. I am about to order an 09 with TRD. I took an SR5 for a test drive as that was all they had. How much stiffer is ride on the TRD then the SR5?

    Thanks

trd off road or trd sport??

offroad may be a bit more stiff, but it actually is a great ride...........probably better than the sr5, since the trd's have bilstein shocks, and the sport is probably a bit more comfortable than the offroad for highway ride.

Buy the ride you like. Take the extra time to find trucks to try out- Or buy the cheapest model that has the major features (body, engine size, and tranny) you want- and upgrade and mod till you are happy with the rest of the components.

SR5 was to soft for me, TRD is perfect.

the ride from the trd sport should be somewhat better than that of the sr5. should be a pretty cushy ride compared.

Tacomaman...bought it new.Maybe a ifference between a CDN truck and US, also got the 4 pack rear springs. All Tacoma up here are set up like this. One other diffdrence I see in pictures is mine is an SR5 and it seems that US TRD's have the same wheels. I know a guy who has an 07 US model, it doesn't have Bilsteins or the TSB spring pak. You'd think they would make them all the same!! You know..Baked, boiled or fried...a Potato:), is a potato, is a potato!!
