and if you recall...those 3 times were just for small purchases...

the only major issue ive had to fix on my truck is my alternator...but that was my fault...not the trucks...and it got changed in the woods!

Yeah it was just a bad dealer. I love the Truck. That was a one month period and I have not been back since.

I've been twice in a year.

1st time was when there was a leak in the interior of the cab. They said a seal was put in wrong. They had the truck about 3 weeks as they had to remove the complete interior.

They used some sort of special ozone machine to change the air, ya right. They had to replace all the mats, rugs, etc.

The 2nd time was for a free oil change and rotation after I bitched about the 1st visit. The truck came back pretty dirty inside.

I went to the dealer about 3 time when I first picked it up to try and get the shaking resolved to no avail. Eventually I took it to Discount Tire and got the BGF Rugged Shits returned under warranty and swapped out for BFG AT's. Other than that I've been back to get the pass side rear door re-aligned (was rattling on bumps, and it's actually back again I need to go for round 2), the AAL TSB, and to pick up my BSP grill/touch up paint. That's it... first 3 were tire issues so I can't hold it against the truck at all. Door rattling a bit is meh... it is an access cab, and it only does it on washboard type terrain.

My Ranger however... lulz. Was in the dealer for failing to start 3 times (never resolved), a bad bearing in #6 (they only replaced the ONE bearing lulz), and I guess that's it but they're major items. Just remember, Mazda is really owned by Ford, I mean look at the B series Ranger, I mean truck.

Eh door rattles are fine. We got door rattles in the Expedition but it makes up for it in other ways so it doesn't bother em much if at all.

Yea I heard good things about Mazda but it seems Fords are built better than Mazdas. lol

Your poll is meaningless so I never voted. I've only gone to the dealership to get parts or order stuff. No issues what so ever so far. Zero.

I do my own maintainence and almost all of my own mods. I've made a few trips to the parts department and took the new truck in for the gas pedal recall which I'm pretty sure was unnecessary anyway, but other than that the only reason I've taken it to the dealer was for free washes a few times.

Had a 97 taco 5-lug which only went into the shop for major maintainence (30k intervals) and a couple oil changes when my living arrangements made doing my own impossible plus one minor warranty job (seat belt ratchet went bad). That truck was probably in the shop 5 times in 7 years.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Very meaningless, considering the OP never bought a tacoma, hasn't been on since March and rocks a Ford Fusion (IIRC).
