Trouble setting catalist moniter

    Im haveing difficulty setting the catalist moniter in my 2000 Tacoma. 3.4 manual. Ive put 500 miles on it, followed all the driving patterns i found from toyota, and still cant get it to set. Any ideas?

    Supercharged, AEM FIC/6, Meth Inj, ION Alloy's, Radio & Phone steering Wheel controls,Fabtech AAL, Billie's wrapped with 880's , Tundra big brake conversion, bully bars and Pioneer DDin Stereo/dvd with exterrnal usb ports. 290K and going strong.
    Do you have this info. Page 12 gives the drive pattern for converter. There's drive pattern #3 and #4 look in the beginning and find out which one you do.

    Ive tried those drive patterns many times, and still no luck. Ive put almost 600 miles on the truck and it wont set. Im lost

    all of the exceptions in the TSB suggest that there might be a "pending" issue. Does your scan tool have an "enhanced" capability to show pending issues? Is the catalyst monitor the only monitor that is not set? While this should not effect the catalyst monitor I try to keep the fuel tank between 1/4 and 3/4, this is for the evap monitor which is usually the most difficult to complete.

    Either you're having too much oxygen remaining in your exhaust for various reasons or there is an issue with your post cat sensor.

    the catalist moniter is the only moniter not setting. and there is no pending codes.

    Was there ever a P code related to this?

    That whole monitor is based off the input from the post cat sensor.

    Might want to pull the battery and start over. These should all complete within a couple of key off cycles. It's more dependant on that than total miles driven.
