Go out this morning, go to start it, same as every morning. Turn the key nothing happens whatsoever. Fuel pump comes on, but no sound from the starter. The lights in the dash are all on, radio is on, ac is on, seems normal as usual, it just isn't starting. I messed with the battery terminals making sure they were tight and the negative was a bit loose, but I tightened it and still no go. I have never had a problem with the truck before today, and this is something that is completely confusing me.

If you hear one click it is the starter

    Could be the battery.

Pull the terminals off the battery and clean them up good. Put them back on and try again.

I'd start looking at the battery first and foremost. I had a similar situation with my 96.....and it was the battery.

After that....you could tap on the side of the starter and see if that helps.
